Abstract:
Now more than ever, staying competitive in the global market for food and medical packaging means ensuring your products meet complex regulatory requirements and convincing skeptical customers that your products are safe. It also means having a voice in the development of fair and effective regulations that draw on sound science to promote innovation while ensuring product safety. In this presentation, SPI President and CEO Bill Carteaux will highlight the resources available exclusively to SPI members to understand, influence and ensure compliance with changing global regulations. Henry Su, Senior Product Regulations Specialist for Food Contact at BASF, will provide examples of how his work with SPI to shape global regulations has enhanced his skills, strengthened relationships with customers, and helped his company avoid regulatory pitfalls.
We will discuss SPI's main committees that deal with regulatory issues:
- What is ISP (in general)
- Overview of FDCPMC
- Overview of OHEIC
- Overview of PMDAC (Pharmaceutical & Medical Device Applications Committee
- Intro of Henry Su
