Abstract:
Ultrafast laser technology has been around for several years. The maturity of the laser systems is bringing it to the forefront of medical device manufacturing. This laser technology has been touted as athermal or a "cold process" able to fabricate medical devices with no heat input. The presentation will provide a background on the science of ultrafast laser processing, an overview of the technology, and review of its application in medical device processing.
We will discuss:
- Utilizing ultrafast laser processing in medical device manufacturing and the benefits of this technology for enabling next generation products
- Medical Device OEMs, Tier I, and startup companies' engineers, scientists, and executives
Intended audience: Medical Device OEMs, Tier I, and startup companies' engineers, scientists, and executives
