Catheter Shaft Optimization for Accurate Axial Positioning:
Medical Murray Inc.
12:30PM –12:55PM

Abstract:
Advanced catheter-based interventional procedures often rely on accurate displacement within the distal end of a device. When multi-material catheter components are combined with torturous anatomical shapes, innovative approaches are required to provide precise control between the handle and the tip of a catheter. This presentation will discuss the challenges related to the mechanics of these catheter systems, and methods available to improve the accuracy of positioning within the catheter. Successful examples that demonstrate the ability to reduce inaccuracy will be shown.
