Spartech Corporation is the manufacturer of Royalite® sheet, a thermoplastic alloy designed for applications which have the most stringent flame and smoke requirements such as medical diagnostic equipment. Spartech is introducing Royalite R926, a flame retardant PC/ABS plastic sheet aimed at high temperature applications such as diagnostic equipment housings. Royalite R926 is UL certified: V-0 at 1.5 mm and 5VA at 3 mm. Royalite R926 is PVC and contains no halogenated flame retardants, so it is REACH and RoHS compliant. As a thermoplastic material, Royalite R926 is a 100% recyclable material solution.
Parylene conformal coatings provide excellent moisture, chemical and dielectric protection to numerous medical devices and components, including stents, needles, pacemakers, electrosurgical tools, cochlear and ocular implants, catheters, and elastomeric components. The ultra-thin, pinhole-free coatings are biocompatible and biostable, and offer low coefficients of friction in addition to their excellent barrier properties. Coatings are applied via a vapor deposition polymerization process, typically in micron level thicknesses, resulting in a uniform coating that penetrates deeply into extremely small openings and crevices. The Isaac multi-tester from Zaxis is designed to meet today's quality assurance demands. The compact size of the Isaac enables it to be in close proximity to test fixtures. By reducing the test connection volume test sensitivity increases and test times can be reduced. Additionally the internal volume of the Isaac is less than 1 cc. The small internal volume combined with integrated sensors and a 24-bit analog to digital converter allow Zaxis to offer a leak tester with the highest sensitivity on the market. The Isaac is available for pressure/ vacuum decay, mass flow, burst and pressure cracking applications.
