Abstract:
Low strength enclosures represent typical industrial, commercial and institutional room or facility type construction. We will look at the design and protection of Low Strength Enclosures that store or process potential volatile dusts, powders, liquids or gases as required by North American Building/Fire Codes and review the recommendations as set forth in the NFPA 68 Venting of Deflagrations guideline document.
Participants will gain a clear understanding of the types of facilities requiring protection, the relationship between pressure resistant and pressure relieving construction and the key performance criteria of each, and the features and benefits of systems available to satisfy these requirements.
Intended audience: Engineers, Facility Managers, Plant Managers, Plant Engineers, Safety Managers, Risk Engineers and Manufacturing Managers
