Abstract:
The use of infrared imaging is becoming more common and well known for many purposes. Application of the technology to automated processes has been confined only to high value processes due to the high historical cost. Developments in lower cost units and use of common communication protocols such as GigE and EthernetIP have allowed the systems to be easily and cheaply integrated into automated machine vision applications. Take a thermal look at the problem.
Objective:
- Detection and measurement of glue beads with infrared
- Safety and process control applications of infrared imaging
- Integration with common process control and machine vision equipment
Intended audience: Process engineers Maintenance engineers
