Abstract:
We hope to educate the audience on pulp, the benefits to their business and the environment. We will explain the process and how pulp is 100% recyclable and biodegradable and why companies are turning to pulp and the various applications and highlight our innovation in pulp manufacturing. We will also describe how this sustainable packaging is catching on fast and why you should make the switch.

Gord Heyting has been in the packaging industry since 1995. A graduate of Queen's University (BComm'92), Gord started his own packaging business in 2004. Anticipating an enormous surge in the demand for sustainable solutions, Gord expanded his company's green packaging offering by investing in fibre moulded technology and launching a sister company: Pulp Moulded Products Inc. Now as one of the few pulp producers in North America (and the only dedicated custom plant in Ontario) PMP is currently supplying pulp to industries including automotive, electronic, furniture, produce, and glass bottle protection.

Alex's electrical background has served him well in his position of Technical Manager at Pulp Moulded Products Inc. Joining the company at its inception in 2007, Alex has stewarded the company's technical capabilities by managing both rotary lines, production scheduling and the installation of new thermoform technology (another Canadian first). He advises and manages PMP's in house design team and the output of all in house prototypes and full time production.
