Mahr Federal has announced the addition of an economical and powerful new skidless surface evaluation system to its MarSurf® line of mobile surface metrology systems. The new MarSurf M 400 features proprietary motorized probe height adjustment which quickly and automatically zeros the probe in seconds and can cut measurement time in half. The M 400 also features a magnetic, breakaway probe mounting system which protects sensitive probes from accidental damage and facilitates fast probe changes. The MarSurf M 400 measures all common international parameters, and features Bluetooth connectivity between the measuring system and the evaluation unit with integrated thermal printer.

The all-new WT3-200 wire terminal tester measures the pull-off force of crimped wire and tube terminals for applications up to 200 lbF (1000 N). The tester features an ergonomic handle and adjustable grip with various slot widths to accommodate wire diameters up to 0.25 in. Up to 1,000 force values may be saved in data storage, with statistical calculations. USB and RS-232 outputs are provided, along with pass/fail indicators, password protection, data collection software, and USB cable.

Shimadzu's TRViewX video extensometer offers precise, high-accuracy measurements of a variety of materials, including metals, plastics, rubbers and films. The TRViewX is available in single- and double-camera models with seven different models available based on the camera's field of view. When using a double-camera model, the system can switch automatically between both cameras. The TRViewX delivers an absolute accuracy of ±1.5 µm and relative accuracy of ±0.5 %. In addition, the TRViewX offers video and still image report functionality, enabling playback to be synchronized with the S-S curve, and operates easily with TRAPEXIUMX software.
