Senior Program Manager, Stratos

Don has 20 years’ experience in product development, project management, and mechanical engineering, with extensive experience in the design and manufacture of medical devices and high-volume consumer products. Don has broad knowledge of FDA and ISO requirements for medical device quality systems and current good manufacturing practices.
Don has managed product development teams in all phases of development, from early R&D efforts to develop new technologies, to detailed engineering and design, to scale-up for mass production. His proficiencies include Design for Six Sigma, Design for Manufacturing, and Design for Assembly. Don has led development of prototype and high-volume manufacturing capabilities in the U.S. and abroad.
Prior to Joining Stratos, Don worked for Philips Oral Healthcare as Project Manager, and for Boston Scientific as Product Development Manager and Senior Design Engineer.
Don has considerable experience working with marketing professionals to identify new market opportunities, discover customer insights and unmet needs, and define new and differentiated product concepts. His experience in new product definition includes using Design for Six Sigma tools to translate the Voice of the Customer into engineering requirements, and to identify Critical-to-Quality requirements.
Don’s work in early R&D projects includes using Design of Experiment methodologies, Monte Carlo simulations, and capability analysis to optimize designs and processes. Don is an inventor on nine U.S. patents.
Don has an MSME from the University of Washington and a BSME from the University of Wyoming.

Vice President of Business Development, 3D Systems

Lee Dockstader is Vice President of new business development at 3D Systems Incorporated where he is focused on additive manufacturing for the healthcare marketplace including digital dentistry, digital hearing aids and orthopedics. He joined the company in 1997 to establish the Asia Pacific region headquarters in Hong Kong and served as the Vice President and General Manager of Asia Pacific for 8 years. After returning to the USA in 2004 he served 3 years as Senior Director of Product Management and 2 years as the VP and General Manager of the Stereolithography Business Unit.
Lee attended West Point Military Academy and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from UCLA.

President, Kablooe

Tom KraMer has been providing hands-on product design services for medical device companies since 1992. He began to push Kablooe’s portfolio into medical device design more fully in 2000, and medical devices now represent over 65% of Kablooe’s project work. Tom has done personal hands-on design work, prototyping, research, testing, and design engineering. He has over 22 years of experience designing products for manufacturing, and has a personal passion for user-driven devices. He leads the charge for user-centered design, research, human factors and ergonomics at Kablooe design and has interfaced with nearly every one of Kablooe's medical device customers over their 22 year history, and has personally been involved in usability research, focus groups, ethnographies, and human surgeries at the University of MN and hospitals in Minneapolis, Detroit, and Pittsburgh.

Solutions Architect, B&R Industrial Automation

Corey Morton has held several positions in his four and a half years with B&R Industrial Automation at their North American headquarters based in Roswell, GA. In his current role as a Solutions Architect, he works closely with the sales team reviewing customers' application requirements and providing technical expertise on new and existing B&R technologies. Based on this close interaction with their customers and their applications, he works together with R&D at the global B&R headquarters in Eggelsberg, Austria to specify new technologies and functionality to meet the needs of the North American market.
Prior to joining B&R, Corey worked in management and engineering roles for various prominent automation vendors, bringing over 15 years of industry expertise to the B&R team.

In her 17 years in product development, project management and quality engineering, Jessica has developed expertise in class II & III medical device product development and manufacturing, lab instrumentation development, regulatory and compliance engineering and medical quality system requirements (including ISO13485 and 21CFR820). Project strengths include close collaboration with clients to achieve aggressive cost, schedule and performance goals, customization of product development process to best meet client needs, and timely transition of a product to manufacturing.
Jessica also has significant experience working with start-up companies, product development planning, requirements definition, transitioning designs into manufacturing, process validation, combination devices (pharmaceutical and medical devices) and a strong background in quality engineering.
Jessica has a BSME from Northern Arizona University and an MS in Medical Engineering from the University of Washington.
Jessica is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Senior Solutions Engineer, B&R Industrial Automation

Marcel Voigt has been the Application Expert for Packaging at B&R Industrial Automation’s Midwest regional office in Chicago, IL for the past three and a half years. In his current role as a Senior Solutions Engineer, he works closely with the sales and engineering team reviewing customers' application requirements and providing technical expertise on new and existing B&R technologies. He also works very closely with R&D at the global B&R headquarters in Eggelsberg, Austria to specify new technologies and functionality to meet the needs of the North American market.
Prior to joining B&R, Marcel worked in application development and engineering for a controls vendor specialized in packaging, bringing six years of packaging machine knowledge to the B&R team.
