Manufacturing Event Returns in 2013

The 2013 event features PACKEX, Plast-Ex, Design & Manufacturing Canada, ATX Canada, and the Green Manufacturing Expo. The event takes place once again at the Toronto Congress Centre, which boasts an exhibition hall with nearly 200,000 net square feet of contiguous space for maximum crossover traffic. The TCC is the ideal venue for the co-located events, with its central location, free parking, and proximity to Pearson International Airport.

Canada: A Major Force in North American Manufacturing
According to government agency Industry Canada, there are more than 56,000 manufacturing establishments in Canada that employ more than 1.7 million people and generate nearly C$600 billion in annual sales. These facilities spend C$368 billion on materials and supplies used in production, while making annual investments of C$177 billion in machinery and equipment.

Canada's national packaging event. The exhibitor companies offer everything from material handling equipment and services to materials such as labels, containers, paper goods, plastics, and metal along with the typical packaging machinery, auxiliary equipment/components, materials, and services. Attendees are packaging and manufacturing engineers and managers, process engineers and managers, production/operations staff, and general corporate management from industries including food/beverage, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetics/personal care, electronics, household/consumer products, and industrial products, among others.

Automation solutions for industry. ATX was launched by UBM Canon in the U.S. in 2005 to be the automation feature of the overall co-located events produced in various regions throughout the U.S. Exhibitors in this show include suppliers of custom automation equipment and components, robotics, motion control/vision inspection, quality control equipment/services, and related components and services. Attendees are manufacturing engineers and managers, automation engineers and managers, quality control specialists from industries including medical, solar, energy, aerospace, industrial equipment, food & beverage, pharma, and cosmetics/personal care, among others.

Canada's premier event for advanced design and manufacturing professionals. Design & Manufacturing Canada will be the primary resource for Canada's OEM markets. Exhibitors provide the software, raw materials, manufacturing equipment, components, subassemblies, and contract services used to design and produce finished OEM products and parts. Feature pavilion zones include CAD/CAM/Rapid Prototyping and Contract Manufacturing. Attendees are design engineers, manufacturing engineers and managers, process engineers and managers, and corporate managers from industries including medical, solar, energy, industrial equipment, metals, aerospace, and instrumentation, among others.

Sustainable manufacturing is a growing reality, and SIM Canada will provide manufacturers with all the necessary information and tools to take advantage of the latest products and technologies to improve their processes. Within SIM, the Green Packaging Pavilion will feature the tools and technologies needed to embrace sustainability: bio-degradable/compostable packaging, recyclable packaging, reusable packaging, recycled materials, non-toxic glues, natural inks, environmentally-friendly coatings, biopolymer packaging, and much more.
